A Threads account is tied to an Instagram account, so connecting Threads means signing in with the Instagram account it belongs to.

The real limits

Read from the same adapter Duta's compose screen checks a post against — not typed out separately, so this cannot say something the product does not actually enforce.

Worth knowing

Threads' text limit is tighter than X's and far tighter than LinkedIn's, so a caption written for one of those may need trimming before it fits here.
Publishing is two calls behind the scenes — a container is created, then published — so a post is not actually live until the second one finishes.

Connecting Threads

Threads is not open for new connections yet — Duta is waiting on the platform to approve access. Nothing already connected is affected. The other channels can be connected now.
